In LSB1 it was easy to get just the propers only. How do you get them in LSB2?
I've tried to build a custom bulletin for "Christmas 2 B" using "empty service outline" and then dragging the needed elements in but it won't put in the collect for the day. I just want to print the propers only. What should I do?

What I have done for now is just create a dummy service. When you are in that service you can click on the propers you would like, Such as Introit or for us it was Proper Prefaces choose copy, then paste them in.

Click on the "plus" sign in the search box, then use the Calendar that is in the Advanced search options to choose a liturgical date. You should then be able to hit Search and find entries for the individual occasions that you can then copy and/or print.

I may have missed it in a different thread, but, echoing the initial statement in this one, LSB 1 had an easy, one step process for copying the full set of pericopes (readings, introit with tones, collect, etc) onto a clipboard which we use to make our own weekly worship inserts. Is there such a one step process included in LSB 2?????

Both Ryan and Jessica had excellent suggestions for accomplishing this.
Here's what Ryan was describing:
- In the search box (in the top-left corner of the window) click the "Advanced" search button (the icon looks like a +).
- Look down the list of search options until you see "this day in the Church Year." Click on the text box.
- From the popup calendar, choose the date of holiday you want propers for and click "Search".
- In the results, select the Holiday you were looking for (i.e.
Christmas 2 (One-Year)orChristmas 2 (Three-Year, year A), etc). You'll be able to copy, print, or save all of the propers.
Once you get used to it, you can be more efficient with this method than you could've been in LSB 1. For example, you can skip the "Advanced Options" popup and type
holiday:"Christmas 2"in the search box. You can also combine this phrase with other search phrases to do more advanced searching. What Jessica was describing is a second way to accomplish this. Her method has the advantage of giving you more control over what's included in your inserts and how they are formatted.
- Plan a service using Empty service outline as your order of service.
- The Plan this service screen will say "Insert Element" at the top. Scroll down to the "Propers" category and drag the elements you want to the service outline on the left.
- When you're satisfied, click "Save As..." in the lower-right corner of the screen. Choose a name like "Propers" for your custom order of service
From now on, you can plan a service with just the propers and export a page from the Edit Bulletin screen.

Great program! I have a request. It would be nice if we didn't have to type the quotation marks. I just spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out why I couldn't find the propers for June 6, and my error was that I was typing proper 5 instead of "proper 5".

Is it possible to add the title of the Sunday to the top of the "propers only" page. For example it would say, "Second Sunday after the Epiphany" and then give the readings?

Pastor Hovland and Alan Sommer:
Your suggestions have been added to our LSB Tickets. Currently you can add custom text to any service using the Caption or Rubric elements. Sorry for the delay in answering your question. If you have any further questions/concerns/or suggestions, please let us know!
Thanks!
