Thanks for bringing this up. This is an artifact of the program that appears when a user would like to put the melody of a song in with a song that has more than 4/5 verses that typically fall in the musical staff. Unless there are verses included which fall within the music staves, the program will leave the final staff before the verses. To prevent this staff from appearing, export the verses in text format rather than melody.
This has been reported to the repository of needed fixes.
Thanks!

Hymn 439 (O Dearest Jesus, What Law Hast Thou Broken), when you deselect stanzas 1-5, only the last line of the music appears. I have tried this from within a service and from the Home page "Search", with the results the same. (version 2.3.1.26192)

I would like to see an option to take advantage of the hymn tracking to include past data before using Service Builder. The only way I understand this is possible is to create dummy services with the hymns selected.

I don't see the refrain for Lift Hight the Cross, when I play it from the Concordia Organist, it plays the refrain at the begining & after each verse, but I don't see the melody line on a slide.
Am I just missing it? ~ It's one of my favorite hymns, please don't tell me I have to choose a different one :(

Unfortunately, we have no plans to make the hymns available with alternate tunes. There would be a number of difficulties in implementing that kind of feature uniformly; and, in some cases, copyrights would prohibit it.

In the back of the LSB Hymnal we have Meters that enable us to sing a Hymn with a different score of music. This is good for us people that were not gifted with the ability to sing. I would like to be able to select a Hymn and then have a choice to record it on the CD with another score without having to create the service bulletin twice.

John, his is a problem with the program. But I think it might be resolved in 2.1.16 which we published on the "beta" path today. (That means you'll receive it if you have "Beta Updates" checked in Preferences or you'll receive it in a day or two when it becomes "release".)

After you've patched to 2.1.16, let me know if you're still experiencing the problem.

I am printing Hymn 980 ("Jesu, Jesu, Fill Us with Your Love") in our worship folders on Sunday since it is not in the worship book, but it is available for use through the Builder. Therefore, I have to print it out. On the preview screen the copyright reads "Used by permission: LSB Hymn License NET, no..." However, when I save the service to the computer so that I can do some tweaking before printing the final bulletin, it reads, "Permission not obtained!"

Is this a problem with the permission to use or a problem in the program?

In the service outline, I click on "Hymn of Invocation" and I have four tabs - Suggestions; Search; Browse; Write My Own. I click on suggestions and get a list. Under Search there is just an empty box. Browse is a really weird list that kinda looks likes a list of topics, but nothing is in order. Write Your Own gives me a lot of confusing options that I need to experiment with. In the 2 minutes I just took to play with it, I can't figure out how to actually write a hymn stanza and save it.

There must be something that I am missing, because I do not see any of the options that you wrote about. Currently, if I want to browse, I use the print edition. Its much faster.

Perhaps, could you tell me more about how you'd like that to work? Right now when you search for hymns, you probably see something that says "Show hymns" and has an arrow by it and something that says "Sort by number" and has an arrow by it. You can click on those to change the search filter and how the results are sorted. One of the options for sort is "alphabetically." That's what I picture when you say "search...alphabetically" Does choosing that do what you want or are you asking for something different? Thanks!

The dedicated search feature for 2.14... is a wonderful thing. The hymn search is greatly improved. The only thing I cannot do that I could do before is search for a hymn alphabetically. Perhaps that could be in a future version or patch?
