I have a custom resource I created based on Matins. Mostly, I've simply added more hymns, the introit, and additional readings. However, when I create a service based on this liturgy, the Opening Versicles are missing. Yet, when I go to "My Liturgies" to check this resource, the Opening Versicles are there. Not sure why they would be missing when I create a service. Anyone have any thoughts?

Once again I am trying to use the Verse for Lent and I am being told that I do not have permission to use it. Had this problem last year - just printed it and removed the "Permission Not Obtained" notice and replaced it with the license number.

My licensing is up to date. I have checked for updates and there are none to be had.

Attempting to put together a service using Matins. Following the Scripture Readings, the heading appears for "Responsory" but there is nothing there.

The workaround is to hit "Insert" then browse through Matins and re-insert the Common Responsory. However, when I do that, I get the little yellow warning triangle that says "This element is usually omitted during the season of Advent."

I have not been able to find ANY resource that says that the Responsory is to be omitted during Advent (including several individuals who worked on the "Lutheran Service Book"). I think this is just an error in coding - especially since the Common Responsory is omitted in Vespers during Advent. There is an Advent-specific Responsory for Vespers (but not Matins - there is an Easter-specific Responsory in Matins that does not appear in Vespers).

I'm running 2.3.1.26192. (Checked for updates before posting this - there weren't any.)

In preparation for a wedding, I wanted to use the wedding stanza of 922 Go My Children, with My Blessing. However, when this comes up in Builder, it does not insert the wedding stanza in the middle of the song but instead puts it at the end as text only, while leaving stanza 4 with the music. The only workaround I've come up with is printing up only stanza 1 with music, and then switching to text only and manually inserting stanzas 5 and 4. I would like to be able to export them all with music, though, since there are only three stanzas. Can you help me with this?

Thanks!

Something similar was posted in the "Ideas" forum, but I thought I would post over here in "Problems."

I'm using version 2.3.1.26192. The service outline for Matins shows an option for "Antiphon (Common)" or "Antiphon (Lectionary)" for the Venite. When you select "Antiphon (Lectionary)" if your preference is set for the Three Year Lectionary, you get the little yellow warning triangle that says there is no content for that element.

There is a workaround for Advent. If you search for "Antiphon" in the search box, there are lectionary antiphons for Advent 1, 2, and 3 under the One Year lectionary.

I have not been able to find the Lenten antiphon.

This only happens when I use content from LSB and work it into a Word document. In Word 2007 it is a nightmare.

In Word 2003 a little less so, but still have phantom data printing.

It does not matter if I have LSB create the bulletin or use the copy/paste feature into an existing document.

Here's what it does - in Word 2007 any bits of text that are near or with musical images loses it's placement. Looks fine on the screen but prints all the way over on the far edge of the opposite (printing) page. So on an 8 page document text from page 2 would show up on page 7 at the far side. The only way I can get it to stay put on page 2 is to insert it into a text box, and depending upon the format in the section it isn't always an option.

So I save it to Word 2003. Now the text stays where it is on the screen image, but there are phantom random bits that show up which are NOT anywhere in the document. For example - a hymn reference for a hymn not chosen, nor listed, nor added. Plus it's outside the margin of the page, does not show up anywhere on the screen image, there's no coding that appears and all attempts to delete even a significant portion of the section do not affect it. It does not move up nor down and is not able to be chosen.

Having to continually build services one piece at a time to a completely fresh document to avoid these things is cumbersome, time consuming and expensive (I get paid by the hour).

Why is it doing this and how do we get it to stop? We've dealt with this even in the previous version of LSB (I have both versions, most recent releases).

Thank you for your help.

I just downloaded the latest patch, but just noticed this in services generated with the last build. It does not look like the latest patch corrects the error.

The Psalms that I chose for Matins and Divine Service 1 did not have the Gloria Patri and the antiphon at the end. The antiphon, I understand, but since the Gloria Patri appears at the end of every Psalm in LSB, this is a pretty major omission. Having to type that every time is a bit of a pain.

I'm working ahead in service planning and have noticed that the Verse for Lent from Divine Services 1 & 2 ("Return to the Lord your God...") is not showing permission to use. (I substitute that into Divine Service 3 during Lent.) Even when I save in Word or in HTML, it shows the big red letters "You have not obtained permission!"

I had contacted Copyrights. They said that there was no change in the permissions status, so things should be the same as before.

I've created custom liturgies based that are essentially the propers for the day. My desire is to have the responses to the readings included.

If I start from a pregenerated service (like DS 3) and cut it down, no problem.

However, if I pare a service down and save it as a custom liturgy and then use the custom liturgy on a different Sunday, the responses are no longer present.

One solution would be to replace the elements with the OT, Epistle and Gospel readings from the elements, as they contain the responses, but they then I would have to manually select the readings each time, because they are still defaulting to blank readings (OT defaults to 'Default', the Epistle defaults to 'Old Testament Reading' and the Gospel defaults to 'Epistle' reading' all of which are actually blank)

By now, Ryan, you know who I am, and the past trouble we've had with our one computer. It had been working fine since our last incident maybe six months ago.

But it chose the week before Christmas to bring back that notification: the file: cph_lsb_system appears to be missing or corrupted. It tries twice to repair or replace it, then shuts down.

I guess we call this "here we go again." Have we learned anything new about this from the computer at CPH that is also doing this?

Greetings.

We have been attempting to install Builder 2 to a SQL server on Small Business Server 2003. The SQL server appears to have installed properly, but Builder will not install to it.

Would this be a permissions problem?

Has anyone else (successfully) installed Builder 2 in this manner?

Ultimately, we are hoping to *not* install the SQL server on each workstation - since it is a resource hog.
